This diet is in no way, a change in lifestyle. This is a good strategy for the last 5 pounds or if you have an event that you want to look slimmer by. If you try to lose much weight, you should consult a doctor, eating healthy and exercising. It’s no secret, just dedication. This tip requires that you drink plenty of water and snack often. If you are well disciplined and willing to cook, this can be even easier because you will not be tempted to just drive through and get a quick fix that will make you regret later. Give this a try! But again, I do not recommend doing this for more than 2 weeks!
Drink lots of water throughout the day (some recommend eight glasses a day). If you do not like water, drink unsweetened green or black tea. You can easily just put a tea bag in cold water and it will work (it will take a little longer than if you put the hot water, but it is very convenient). Green tea is rich in antioxidants, and it is known to temporarily suppress hunger.
For breakfast, have a big glass of milk, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 crackers, 1 small fruit (apple, banana, pear or orange). This combination is only an example. You can change it up, but remember that you should have some source of protein to keep you full longer and some carbohydrates to satisfy all requirements and give you a boost in the morning.
3 hours after breakfast and 3 hours after lunch, have a snack, even if you are not that hungry. If you wait until you’re hungry, you may overeat during main meals. For snack, has a non-fat yogurt, a small fruit or a cereal bar. Remember to continue to drink your water.
For lunch, have a salad with a light dressing (olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper) and a kind of protein (grilled chicken or fish). Have a grapefruit.
For dinner, you can have either salad again, or a bowl of soup made with vegetables and chicken. Every soup is light (not cream-based) is a good choice. At night, you should eat very easy because you will be busy with a heavy activities and you will go to bed soon. Have a grapefruit as a dessert or as a late snack.
Tips and Warnings
Do not go to bed hungry. If you happen to get hungry before bedtime, drink some hot tea (decaffeinated if you prefer) and have a grapefruit or a hard boiled egg. A small bowl of air popped popcorn will work too!
