It can be very frustrating when trying to lose weight. Whatever you do, you just can not stop thinking about food and it seems like you eat all the time. Do not panic, with a little bit of self-control, you have the appetite tamed in no time
Drink plenty of water. When your stomach growls you always find it for food. Most of the time it’s your body telling you that you need water. Water is a wonderful tool in battle of the bulge. It fills you up and is calorie-free. Drinking a large glass of water before or during our meals can fill us up so you do not overeat.
Eat slowly. Most people eat so fast that your body does not have time to tell you when you are full. Eating slowly will give you time for the food to digest and thus fill you up with less food.
Keep busy. Exercise, read a book or watch a movie. Do something you like to keep your mind off of food.
Eat smaller, more frequent meals. Eat 4-6 small meals a day instead of three large meals. This will reduce the urge to snack as much.
Brush your teeth. The cool minty taste in your mouth will deter you from taking a bite. Not just because your teeth feel nice and clean, but because the food does not mix well with toothpaste!
Fill up on fiber-rich vegetables and fruits. Fiber makes you feel fuller longer.
Tips and Warnings
Do not skip meals! Skipping a meal can cause you to overeat later.
