We all know that we should drink plenty of water every day if we want to stay healthy. But most of us do not. Why not? Maybe some people do not like to drink water, and anyone thinking of going to the bathroom 25 times a day. But the real reason why people do not drink as much water as they should, is that it is just plain impractical. Here are some tips on how to make it just a little easier
Half-gallon water bottle
. . Before you can figure out how you can ensure that you drink enough water, you must know what “enough water” is. They used to say that everyone needs to drink eight 8 oz. glass every day.
But it does not make much sense when you consider the fact that people come in all different shapes and sizes. Would not it make sense that a bigger person would need more water? The new rule of thumb is that you should drink half your body weight (in grams.) So, for example if you weigh 150 kg. , Should you drink 75 ozs. water every day.
Fill a half-gallon water bottle and have it available where you work during the day. If you work at a desk, have it on the desktop. If you drive a truck, it has in the truck. Just need to fill a large bottle once, and have it on hand as you go about your daily tasks, will make drinking lots of water much more convenient.
Drink water instead sodas, coffee, milk or juice with meals whenever possible. Between half drink gallons of you during the working day, 2 or 3 glasses of water with meals and water you drink if you exercise, you should be pretty close to the required daily intake of water (step 2).
In the beginning you may find that you need to go to the bathroom quite often. But as the body gets used to the increased water diet, you should see your bathroom visits diminish over time.
It takes 21 days to form a habit. In other words, provide fresh habit time. Keep at it for at least three weeks. Then you discover that you have become accustomed to drinking lots of water, you feel better, and you may have even lost some weight. Stick with it!
