There are easy ways to cut down on snacks that can help you maintain or lose weight. These are the ones that work for me. I find that when I form a habit, it is much easier to stick to
Drink lots of water. The more water you drink, the less hungry you will be. Choose a good quality water or get water purifier filter for tap water. In other words, treat yourself to the best kind of water you can afford to buy!
Do not eat after dinner. Drink water or clean ice tea (decaffeinated if caffeine bothers you). Skip dessert if you really want to break the habit of snacking.
Make coffee a treat. Yes it does equal a few calories, but it also controls hunger. I use coffee as my treat and use sugar-free creamers to perk me up and give me something to look forward to.
Watching TV at night can trigger eating. Until you have a handle on not snacking, watching movies instead.
Fill in your meals on vegetables and healthy food. Making sure you eat properly will leave you feeling more satisfied and less likely to want to snack later. Know when to stop yourself.
Keep busy at all times. Do not be idle. When we are tired, we’ll eat. There are countless things we can do besides eat when we do not have to.
