Feeling a little guilty for everything he food you ate this Thanksgiving holiday. I know I am and I still have a piece of pumpkin pie to eat. I promised myself this last treat before I go to bed tonight because tomorrow is the day I start my diet to get in shape for Christmas. I have a plan and hope it works. Or more importantly, I can see it through
Cut down a snack. Eat fruits and vegetables instead of cookies and candy bars. I love sweets, but like fruits and vegetables, you can do this. The eight pounds I want to lose is a great motivator.
Do not eat a special menu of diet food or diet fads. In’ll eat normal food, but eat about half the size I usually do. There is a school of thought that says to eat only half of what’s on your plate, but I find it easier to make myself smaller portions.
Exercise every day. Walking is a great way to start. I would also add some strength building and stretching as I go along. I would go for at least thirty minutes a day and do a bit of stretching and strength building. Add more as I feel comfortable.
Make a weight check once a week and take it up. This will help you see what works for you.
