Have you ever known someone who can eat as much as she wants, never go into a gym, and still have the body of a runway model? It may seem sad and unfair, but some people are naturally blessed with a faster metabolism. Your metabolic system is what helps the body convert food calories into energy. Sometimes heredity and age are the cause of a fast metabolism, but there are also a few things you can do to help speed
It is called the most important meal of the day for a reason. You should always make a point of eating a good breakfast, even if it means grabbing something to eat on the way to work or on the bus. After a long night without snacks, your body can go into starvation mode if you do not get any food in there the first morning. When the body thinks it’s starving, it will slow the metabolic system to conserve energy. Not only eat sugary breakfast pastry that will make you feel drained of energy soon after. Eat a hearty breakfast full of protein and fiber to get your day off to a good start. It is not necessary to skip the coffee, either. Physiology and behavior, a medical journal published findings showing that caffeinated coffee stimulates the central nervous system, increasing heart rate -. And kick-start metabolism
Practice eating several smaller meals instead of a few larger ones throughout the day. When you overeat, your body is overloaded with calories that metabolic system want to get into energy. But all that energy is not needed at one time and much of it becomes unusable. Smaller meals helps the body to take full advantage of calories and energy that they produce. These meals will give you extra amplifier of energy throughout the day.
Work It Out
An obvious ally in the battle for weight control, exercise, is also a key ingredient for a faster metabolism. When you do any kind of strenuous exercise, your body burns more energy and need more to keep it going. So your metabolic system will convert calories into energy faster, to maintain yourself throughout the workout. But it does not end when you’re done at the gym. Your metabolism stays elevated for several hours afterward. Do not just stick to the treadmill, though. Dr. Robert Wolfe, one geriatrics professor at the University of Arkansas, explains that building muscle can cause you to burn more calories each day. Lifting weights or something that challenges your muscles causes them to be stressed. When the muscle repairs itself, another activity that increases metabolism.
Although exercise is important, not rob you of sleep just to get up an extra hour earlier to hit the gym anymore. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep each night to keep your metabolism up. When you do not get enough sleep, certain hormones become unbalanced, causing the energy and appetite to get out of whack. So sleep early if you want to hit the gym before dawn.
