In 2009 I set out to lose weight for the last time. Many times since my first child was born (12 yrs ago YIKES) I had started, lost some weight, thought I looked cute then promptly went back to my old ways. It was a never ending cycle and I was fed up. I knew what it took to lose the weight I just needed the drive to see my goals through. Kicking Fat was that drive.
I set out to lose the weight that had been creeping up slowly for the past 8 years. I was tired of being tired…I wanted a change. I wanted to show how hard yet rewarding changing your life could be. Throughout an entire year I blogged my highs and lows. Exactly 52 weeks later I celebrated being 52lbs lighter. I ended 2010 with a bang at the lowest weight I had been in over 8 years.
20011……12 yrs after the birth of my first child , I was now expecting a 2nd bundle of joy. Cue freak out!!! I wish I could say my only worry was trying to readjust to having an infant again. Rightly so I worried about gaining back the weight I had lost. I decided to take a break from blogging to focus on gaining weight healthily throughout my pregnancy.
As I write this I am now snuggling, hugging and kissing my little bundle of Joy. Xander was born Sept 16th, 2001. I had a super easy pregnancy where I gained about 40 lbs. He was born naturally after 17 hours of easy (not joking at all) labor @ 7lbs 9 ounces. So far I have been taking it easy. Walking and light exercise as I try to adjust to life with an infant.
With my baby strapped (securely) to my back I am ready to lose the baby weight and then some. Hopefully this year will be as great as the first two.
Thank you for following my journey.
