Back into the swing of things!

So uh hey…

I totally did not intend to take another Blog hiatus, let alone a 2.5 week one. Alas work, birthdays and school got in the way and by the time I even thought of writing a blog post I was so exhausted that it wouldn’t have been coherent if I tried.

There will be no weigh in this Monday for the simple fact of me being at work right now. I am working an extra shift at my 2nd job before going to my Full time job. So essentially I am working an almost 16 hour day. Le sigh such is life and this has basically been my life for the past 2-3 weeks so you can see why posting here had become so low on the totem pole. So despite there being no weigh in and really no true actual trying on my part to really follow what I have been following to lose weight (calorie counting, keeping a food journal, consistent exercise etc) I have maintained my weight between 248-250. The last time I weighed myself was Thursday or Friday I was sitting nicely at 248 lbs.

This makes me extremely happy because like I said I haven’t been very consistent in using any of my tools that have helped me come so far in my weight loss journey. Granted I haven’t thrown caution into the wind but still I have been considerably lax in my approach to weight loss. That being said I obviously have been doing some things right since I haven’t gained 10lbs despite all of the parties, extra shifts & celebrating (my birthday, my sons birthday etc). I’ve made sure to at least keep a mental note of what I eat and the type of activity I do and that has kept me from spiraling out of control.

This is a new week though and I am ready to jump back on the band wagon. I am ready to kick off my weight loss again. I have had a nice break but it’s most definitely time to buckle down. I have a bit of motivation. One of my best friends is having her reception in August, My vacation (Six flags NJ & NYC) is in August and Tony’s brother is getting married in September (with a jack & jill bridal party in July). For 3 of these things I will need to buy new dresses hopefully in a size smaller than I am at right now. I am super excited & can’t wait to post pictures from all of these events.

A new addition to my weight loss journey is my box of organic fruit and vegetable from Boston Organics.I currently get the medium box delivered every 2 weeks. My first box came last Tuesday and I was sooooo excited. I made roasted dill carrots (a Pioneer woman recipe) one night. The next night we had lettuce wraps made with left over turkey sloppy Joe mixture. The boys have enjoyed having fruit at their fingertips. We received apples, grapefruit, peaches & bananas. I still have some lettuce, broccoli & fruit left, it probably won’t last until the next box but oh well. If I am not feeling to lazy I may start taking pictures of my dinners I make with my new fruit and veggies.

All in all life is good & I look forward to getting back into the swing of things, on top of neglecting my own blog I have severely neglected some of my fav blogs by only reading and almost no commenting. I have either one huge picture post or 2 separate ones I am not quite sure yet. Either way some pictures will be posted sometime this week.
